The Anova Forest is directly west of Ithaca's territory, and east of the Arcano Mountains. The forest is thick here, mostly pine trees and lush undergrowth. The ground is slightly hilly, and large boulders are sometimes found underneath the trees. The north fork of the Castovar River runs through the south part of the territory, although other small ponds can be found throughout the forest. The lush, shady atmosphere of the Anova Forest attracts many equines, although the mist and shadows create mystery, and a few more superstitious horses avoid the area. Rain is common here, and the trees are often shrouded in mist. Animals like whitetail deer, moose, foxes, and rabbits live here as well, and many mice and voles take cover in the undergrowth. With lush grass and shade come more threatening predators, however, and both brown bears and cougars frequent the area. Weak or injured horses are advised to travel without other equines for protection.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lone Spirits are welcome to wander here, as the land has not been claimed by a herd.
*Dangers: Brown bears, Wolves, Cougars, Badgers, Foxes*
When it comes to meeting a predator, the player can chose the outcome. Please keep in mind that lone horses will be vulnerable to predators, while groups will have a better chance of escaping unharmed. When a predator targets a harem of horses, they will seek to separate the weak and young. If your horse is young, old, or injured, be aware they will be likely to be targeted unless defended. Please keep all interactions with predators realistic. No horse can escape every encounter unharmed.

The only thing that had protected Vieta as a yearling was that band of stallions. Otherwise right now he would of been killed most likely. Leaving them after so long felt wrong in a way, but he never would have a chance to be someone anymore. At six years old he was the oldest in the bunch. The large scar on his leg keeping him from ever being top stallion to this point. He didn't have much hope of that at this point. For now he just wanted to get out of the open and so the forest it was. While it would have predators, the cold rain was wearing on him and he just wanted to find a place to rest for the night. In the morning he would go in search of water. White legs were streaked with mud and his mane dripped water from the ends.
Reaching the area where the trees grew closer, he stopped, picking his head up to test the wind, his ears slowly rotating. He was honestly hesitant to go forward knowing he was alone. It killed him that he didn't even have his band of other stallions to keep him company. With a heavy sigh and slight drop of his head, he gave in and just accepted what he had done and took long strides into the trees. Branches caught on his sides, sending more rain down onto his back, the slight wind making it colder. It was getting late and the darkness had started to set in. A sound just ahead brought him to a halt, ears flung forward as he started in the direction to his left. Something was there…
His nostrils flared, a snort leaving them quickly as he got tense. His right ear turned in search of anything else. The thing rustled again. He had to decide to either rush in or go away. Vieta blew again, louder this time. Things grew quiet, then a sudden streak ran towards him. It was low to the ground and red, just a fox. However it still spooked him. The stallion snorted, pinning his ears backwards and bolting sideways, throwing a kick towards the creature who had already ran into some other undergrowth. He took off to the thinner area he had come from, snorting and blowing the whole way. His gait was a little off, that front leg was never totally sound anymore. Getting into a more open area, the stallion slowed to a stop and snorted a final time, his tail flung over his back as brown eyes watched the area.
It has been a long time since I role played and I have a toddler so I am going to try the best I can, hope my first post in a long time isn't as terrible as I feel it is.
